Online Forums
Vanpoly maintains a number of private online forums that you can join by visiting groups.yahoo.com/group/vanpoly and clicking "Join this group" (which requires a Yahoo system logon) or by sending an email to vanpoly-subscribe@yahoogroups.com (which doesn't require a Yahoo logon). You can participate in any of these forums by email or through that forum's web site. These are moderated places where you can participate away from public view.
This forum is where people can ask questions, find out what experience others have had, keep in touch, and generally talk about all things polyamory. Polyamory news, the promotion of polyamory, and the planning of events also happens on this forum. Do you have an idea for an event? Propose that on this forum.
This forum is for announcements about the Vancouver polyamory community and polyamory in Vancouver. This is a low volume forum requiring all postings to be approved by a moderator. If you just want to know what’s going on and not get discussions, join this forum.
Want to promote or just talk about something or anything with other polyamorists? This forum's for you! There are no on-topic rules and you can announce and talk about anything. Polyamory-friendly event announcements are welcome and encouraged on this forum. Because buy & sell messages are allowed on this forum, there's a "no selling stuff" rule for the Discuss and Announce forums.
Facebook Groups
There are two main groups on Facebook where Vancouver polyamory news and events are announced, planned, and discussed. You need to have a Facebook logon to view and participate in these groups and you can participate by email or through that group's Facebook page. The difference between the Facebook groups and the Online Forums is that the Facebook groups are more open to view by people who are not members of the group.
